Subscribed to this list in the summer of '98, just after getting back
from our first (all Datsun) Shasta Meet. I had been on the 510 list
for several years and already knew a number of the 510 and Roadster
folks from DFW, Austin and San Antonio, including the Costs, the
Hornes and Tom Walter. Met Gordon and a bunch of the other west coast
folks at Shasta. IIRC, '98 was the first year they had the Thunderhill
track day. Drove back out the next year and had even more fun. Never
did manage to get out there with a Datsun. Maybe someday we will. I
find it a bit ironic that while we've been primarily into 510s since
about a year after getting our first Roadster new in '70, the 510s are
in storage and I driving the Roadster at least occasionally.
