[Roadsters] Need some help please

I will talk about MidOhio when I get home, for now though, I need some help:

We made it to our stopping point in Plymouth, IN with little to no issues. (at one point I thought I was getting some hesitation (missing??) acceleration through 2nd into 3rd,  but it may have been the wind pushing me around as it was windy as 
#$%&@ coming across 30 today. I pulled off the highway and looked at the plugs--their condition below. The rear carb was low on oil so I fixed that. Regardless of the wind, this situation did not continue after we started out again.

After dropping Connie at the hotel I went in search of a liquor store. When I was leaving the liquor store, every gear was hesitating, bucking, etc. I got back to the hotel and pulled a couple plugs. Before we left for MidOhio, they were a light brown. Now they are black and smell slightly burnt. We put new carbs on last March and the car has been running great ever since. This is the first time I have had any issues. I seems to be idling a little rough right now as well. 

This is a de-smogged 70 1600.
