[Roadsters] left turns affecting engine ?? (not OT)

I was having a problem with engine cutting out, backfires and such when I made
right turns.  This was with a newly rebuilt U-20, East Coast Roadsters dizzy,
new Z-Therapy SU's. I went for months trying to diagnose this. I was ready to
push the car off a cliff.  Finally, I discovered the fuel hose from the bowl
to 
the nozzle on the rear carb was kinked. I temporarily put a piece of
electrical 
tape aound the kink to stiffen the hose, and the problem was
solved. I called 
Z-Therapy, and they sent me a replacement hose.

I seem to remember someone else having had a problem with engine
performance after turning left????

Is this accurate or wishful thinking on my
part?

70 1600 w GB dizzy & SUs.

Still having intermittant engine issue(s) in
