[Roadsters] Rear Bumper Bolts

Charlie,

Nissan only used one thread pitch for those bolts. I seem to recall
that they're 5/16, and that the 24 (fine) pitch is correct. Unless you are
the
original owner, it's more likely some PO screwed up the bolts. If you
want me
to pull a bolt from my '66 to check, let me know.

Subject: [Roadsters] Rear Bumper Bolts

Can someone verify the thread size for
the left/right bumper bracket to the
frame bolts on a 1964 SPL310. I started
installing my re-chromed bumper
using 24 thread bolts (same as what came
off). The right rear bolt went on
easy but the right front bolt was a bitch
to tighten. The left side bolt
will not even thread. This threaded hole is
very close to the body so there
is no way to see what's going on. Can someone
with a frame off verify the
correct bolt and thread size for me? I remember
this bolt being a pain when
I removed it and chalked it up to rust. Now I'm
worried that Nissan used
two different threads and I just forced a 24 thread
on.
