Hi folks,
1965 low screen SP310.
I'm at the stage of trying to ascertain the orientation of the rubber
seal that goes between the soft top front bow and the top rail of the
windscreen.
I believe the seal is designed to be bonded to the windscreen rail since
it also works with a hard top if used.
That's what the Parts Manual shows anyway.
True/false?
I have attached a link to a drawing I have made of the cross section of
the seal.

I have marked what I think should be the front and top edges of the seal
if it were bonded to the windscreen rail
To me, the seal should have the "slit" facing down and forwards to act
as a rain water trap.
The two edges I have shown as mating with the screen top rail are a
rougher finish than the two exposed edges so that reinforces my idea
that they are designed to be bonded.
The rear edge has a neat little shoulder that wraps around the rear edge
of the rail.
Anyhoo, can someone enlighten me as to whether I have this correct or not?

I hope at least one of the links work, let me know if they don't :(
