[Roadsters] Rear axle vs carrier?s

  Working with a late model rear axle assembly, trying to remove the gear
carrier assembly.  It won't budge!  Can't even drive a pry bar between the
two housings.  And it has been soaking up penetrating oil for a few days
now.

  Any hints on how to separate these two?  I doubt they have been apart
since the factory.
