[Roadsters] Rear Brake Swap

Ray,
Rear brake cylinders were the same on 1600s and 2000s. 1965 to 1967 cars ised 13/16 cylinders, while 1967-1/2 to 1970 cars used 3/4 cylinders.  I don't know why Nissan changed the diameter with the '67-1/2 xars, but I'm guessing it had something to do with the incorporation of dual brake systems.

Would these fit a 67 1600? 13/16 or 3/4?

The best plug and play rear brake cylinders for a 68 2000 are the stock Nissan ones.  They are still available at Nissan and come with a warranty.  New ones would probably last 15 or 20 years.  How much do you think you can save when using mismatched parts. PD  Understood, Ron. Really looking for a plug-and-play solution (if any, and there may not be one).

IIRC, those threads on the OE Roadster brake components were SAE while those on the 510, Z, etc. were metric. You might need adapters or new hard lines with the correct fittings. FWIW,Ron

Anyone have experience with or know of a compatible/interchangeable 7/8" or 15/16" rear wheel cylinder?

Looking for more rear brake bias, and based on prior notes, the 13/16" doesn't seem to move the meter.

Thanks.

That seems to be the design point.

I wonder what happens if you go to 7/8" or 15/16" cylinders?
