I'm making great progress on my early 67 roadster.  Fixed the brakes and am
trying to finish up the interior.  This car came to me in kit form, and I
have no idea what goes behind the doors on each side.  There were panels in
sad shape which I'm in the process of recreating, but I'm confused about
what goes between the back of the door and the hard panel that starts there
at the floor behind the front seat and covers the steel up to the rear cap
railing and back to the rear panel.

 

I was test fitting the wood I cut to replace the rear panels before I
recovered it and I noticed the gap, and it looks like screw holes? Going up
the side to screw something in???

 

Can anyone send me a picture of that section?  Push the front seat forward
on either side and take a picture that shows the back of the door to the
rear shelf, hopefully from top to bottom on the interior.

If the screw holes are in a vertical line right behind the door, they are for snaps on the boot over the top when folded. I?d have to look but I think there are 3 on each side.

I am going to put 3 sets top latches on ebay. The fixed pieces have a left and right on the windshield. I want to sort these correctly as the were all piled in a box. The center latch and receiver are obvious. The fixed pieces have a raised dot on the front left and right. I assume this is to tell the left from right. What side does the dot go on? On the outer latches they look the same. Is there a difference between the latches??Thanks

The high screen latches should have holes for the sun visor rods. The
left latch has a hole on the right side, and the right latch has a
hole on the left side. The holes, at least on mine, do not go all the
way through.

There are latching posts on either side. I didn't note any raised dots
on mine. I can send you a picture if that helps.

The latches appear to be identical for either side.

My hardtop is missing a latch so I'll be watching...

When i receive an email from our list doesn?t include who specifically it is from, only datsun roadster. I have an iPhone. On my PC it shows who the emais from. I have been assuming that this is an apple problem but thought I?d ask if anyone else is having that problem or knows how to solve it.

Pat,

Are you using different applications on each? What application are you
using for email on the iPhone and on your computer. I use GMail on all of
my computers and on my phone. There are some things I wish it did
differently, but what I see is consistent across my PCs, Macs and my
Android phone.

providers can reject or discard mail from sources that don't have a 
DMARC policy set up in their DNS info.

What happens on Team Net is that the 'From:' line is changed to 
something like From Joe Lister via datsun-roadsters which in theory 
increases the chance of mail getting through, since autox.team.net has a 
published DMARC policy, while whatever system Joe Lister is using may 
not have a policy set up and other email providers would reject his message.

The list messages should still have a 'Reply-to:' header that lists the 
initial sender.

Basically it is a tricky and complicated maze of twisty little passages 
to make email as secure, reliable and trustworthy as possible, using 
things like DMARC, DKIM, SPF and such.? There is no perfect solution 
that pleases each and every person on the net.? I try to set things up 
as best I can, hoping to keep these lists going, keeping the flames 
fueling our passion burning brightly.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I?ll deal with it. I don?t see a way to turn on headers on the iPhone. 

I had a flashback while reading your message.  ?maze of twisty little passages? Took me back to my early days of CPM & the game Adventure! I?ll have to find a copy that runs under windows. I still use xyzzy as a temporary file name.

The weatherstripping on my car is shot.  Am looking to replace it but not
