[Roadsters] one wire

The sense wire needs to be hooked up to battery voltage, usually at a hot central connection that you want to maintain @ 13.6V. I’ve seen many where they just run a wire from that terminal to the Batt lug on the starter. The other pin is not needed, or is mainly used to run the idiot light that tells you when the alternator is not charging.

Bought a 7127-SEN one wire alternator on Amazon for $21.37 (Includes $8.xx Ohio sales tax)!
Sounds impossible? Well, signing up for a new Amazon Visa card got me a $100 gift card, leaving only $13.xx and sales tax!
My question is, do I need the extra 2 wires, a "sensing" wire and ? Can I wire the output to the original output to keep the Amp meter working, or should it go straight to the battery?
This is all under the hood of a 1968 1600.

I promise, this will be my last alternator question!
