[DMVR] DMVR Loses One of Its Own

It is with a very heavy heart that I share with you this news: 

My mom, Kim Rost, passed away at approximately 12:15 AM today. She was at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. She had been battling congestive heart failure much of the summer; however, she was improving steadily over the past few weeks. She contracted some sort of a bacterial infection in the colon. Unfortunately, this was one medical issue too many for her. Dad was with her when she died. 

Her "Celebration of Life" service will be Tuesday, September 5th at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake, IA.
There will be a viewing Monday evening at 7:00 PM.

As many of you know, Mom was a kidney transplant recipient. Please consider organ and tissue donation at the time of your death, and discuss your decision with your family. Many of us have signed our organ donor cards. However the family has the final word - so if you want any viable organs and tissues donated at your death, please make certain your family knows of your wishes.
"Please don't take your organs to heaven. Heaven knows we need them here."

Dad is having issues with his email and his computer - so if you would like to pass along any thoughts, please feel free to email them to me. I will print them and be certain he gets them.

Mom was a 40-year SCCA member, having started in DMVR in 1966 and returned to DMVR when they moved back to Iowa. She was a licensed T&S worker and was a valued member of the Registration staff at MidAmerica Motorplex. She will be greatly missed.
