Or you can make your own that fits into the stock gearbox housing.....not that I know anything about that. Use the appropriate sized Hewland gearsets for your horsepower range and your set. Lots of other detais to work out as well, but not too terrible.

My take on this is that if you are not constrained by rules, you should
def. consider a Jericho 4 or 5 speed. If you have to stick with the TR
gearbox (vintage), then you don't have a lot of choice - you get Quaife
and nothing.

Jericho is kool because you can get alternate gear sets. But even if you
don't want alternate sets, you get exactly what you need when you
initially set up the box.

And for pretty much any Triumph the Jericho box is major overkill in terms
of robustness. Put another way, some of the 6-cyl guys are making well in
excess of 200 HP. The stock TR6 box is not designed for that much power.
So you trash the box pretty regularly. Two TR boxes with C/R gears and
labor and you're right there in terms of cost for the Jericho setup.

The only "if" with Jericho is getting the bell housing setup. Sam Halkias
used a cut-off TR6 bell housing with a plate welded to it and then drilled
it for the Jericho (which I believe is the same as the Borg-Warner T5).

But to me, straight cut gears and dog-engagement is just "too kool".
Nothing says "I'm a race car" like singing straight cuts and instant
up-shifts.

argh Argh ARGH.
