[Fot] Piston ring end gap

This is for a TR-4...

I'm in the process of installing pistons and rings. I ended up with
new liners this time around, and as a result, I actually have to FILE
the rings to get the proper end gap. The instructions recommend
0.008" to 0.014" end gap. My inclination is to go for 0.008, but it
occurs to me that they may expand enough due to heat for that to be a problem.

Has anyone had problems with broken rings with an 0.008" end gap?

(Jack is out of town or I'd ask him...)

Thanks,
Tony Drews
