[Fot] Ghost Tracks of the midwest

Green Valley was a memorable track northwest of Dallas, which unfortunately
went the way of many old tracks. It was gobbled up to make way for houses
and businesses.

There is a wonderful book entitled "Ghost Tracks" by Pete Hylton that
chronicles the great days of racing at circuits that no longer exist and one
or two that still do. It's based on a series of articles that appeared in
SCCA's Sports Car magazine.

Covers tracks like Vineland, Green Valley and Moffet Field. Familiar?

FYI - Uncle Jack raced at Wilmott and Meadowdale.

I found this website with a bunch of cool old racing photos from tracks like
Wilmott, Medowdale, and Lyndale Farms.

These tracks are from my dad's era but the pics, names, and cars are all
very familiar. In fact, I bet some of your cars are pictured here.
