Interesting.  I have always blocked this off and dont ever remember seeing any
nipples and hoses on any body else's car.

 do not block the heater valve port off. I have found that if you block that
ort with a plug it restricts the flow of water through and around cylinders 3
nd 4. I normally insert a fitting with a nipple, and attach a short piece of
ose routed to the heater pipe on the left side of the engine which comes from
he water pump housing. On street cars I tell my customers to leave the heater
alve cracked to aid in the flow of H2O around 3 and 4.

ops, sorry about the typos.  The heater pipe hasn't screwed anything as far
s I know!!!
I need a plug to block off the heater pipe hole atop the head. :)

What sizes are the following plugs for the TR3/4 engine:

1, top of Cyl Head where heater pipe screwed it.

2,  Manifold side of engine block to drain H2o.


Also, on your cars, where do you pick up the oil pressure for the pressure
auge?
