[Fot] VARA Vs HSR West

I live in the Los Angeles area.  Out here there are two vintage organizations, VARA (the one I belong to), and HSR West.
I've compared the rule-books and web-sites, rules seem similar.  Have any of you run in both groups and if so, are there big differences between the two?
I am pleased with VARA overall and like their take on safety, no contact, competition, and car prep.

What do some of you think about these groups?
