Good point.  I'm going to check the workshop manual schematic and see what
it shows and also Ryan's street TR4 and see what it has in it.

The Lucas Sport is designed to be used without a ballast resistor. The
originals TR4 must have been designed to be used with a 1.5 ohm ballast.

One last point, I just measured a standard TR4 coil primary resistance and
it is 1.5 ohms.  The 3 or 4 Lucas Sport coils I've measured are all about
3.0 ohms.  I don't understand that either.
