I have an interesting question to ask the group, why isn't anybody using the 
SU HIF carbs?  I've used them on several occasions and the seem to be 
superior to the h or hs.  They have less parts and are easy to adjust, less 
prone to leaks,  needles are easy. And if you get the HIF44 instead of the 
HIF6, it has bearings inside the piston dampner.  These also have a 
temperature compensator for the fuel mixture.  These were the last series of 
carbs manufactured by SU.  Just curious.
