the important thing is that crank retains the oem diameter at the scroll
area.

that is what the seal is sized to.

the scroll seal housing is modified from the oem parts to accept Chris' seal
design.

i am facilitating distribution in the US by providing the centering tool with
corrected dimensions and the modified scroll, which is done on an exchange
basis.

i am looking at producing the seal housing here in iowa because the exchange
program is cumbersome and inventory on those lag.

Joe,

Remind me but does this new seal require that the scrolls remain? I am having
a couple cranks made by Marine Crankshaft and want to use the latest on seal
technology. I have not been too happy with the Moss kit in the past.

Thanks,

Greg

I have had no negative experiences or feedback, so far.

One guy had flywheel bolts too long and it tore the seal up and it was
replaced.

Jim Gray just ordered a replacement but he hasnt told me why he needs it.

As long as installation is as good as the OEM installation should be, the
superior VITON seal should be the final word in oil control, especially in a
newly built engine.

I have a couple kits on the shelf and hopefully 10 more seals coming from
CHRIS.

Demand is climbing as winter approaches.

Joe Alexander

I was wondering if any in the group had experience with the new style rubber
oil
seal. I am
building a street motor and am thinking about trying it. Anyone put one in
that
has put any
major miles on it yet. If so how is it working and how many miles do you think
you have on it.

I like the idea but am curious if it stays in place. I suppose it stays in as
well as any other
pressed in seal.

Dean
