[Fot] Information request on old GT6 race car

That's exactly right. I work tech in Oregon Region off and on and
discovered the book they keep on roll cage numbers. It contains info
on every logbook that Oregon has issued. They started issuing logbooks
in '71. My Spitfire is in the book twice. I took it to drivers school
the very first weekend they were issuing logbooks and got 96-10, but
they didn't have the stamps available at the time to mark the roll bar.
A couple of weeks later, the owner of the car had to get a new number
(96-71) because I forgot to bring the log book with me and since they
had the stamps by then, that's what is on the car. Of course we are one
roll bar and two cages down the road since then.
