I like the 45D based units, the early US models used points, or the late
electronic models can be converted to asymmetrical cam/point type, or to
modern electronics.

What distributors are you guys using for racing the Triumph TR 2-4A engine?
In the Triumph Competition & British GT championship, electronic ignition is
allowed, but the mechanical advance mechanisme has to be retained.
Programmable advance curves are not allowed. In recent years, I'm using the
Mallory Unilite Electronic (#4532001) : no failures but the ignition timing
is far from steady, especially above 5000rpm the timing is very erratic (=
most of the time when racing). I'm looking for
