A Mr C.Nuyts in Antwerp, Belgium, althoug his main business is fabricating
bullet steel crankshafts, did weld the steel liners for me and sent the
block to someone else(I don't know who) to have the liners Nikasil coated.
Nikasil coating is found on cars like Honda, Rover, Porsche.; Nikasil is
very slippery, but doesn't stand always the high sulfur content of the
eighties fuel. The block is very strong and the bore of 92mm is no problem.
92mm bore is not allowed in the Triumph Competition. I did some races in
another championship with this engine : it's much stronger than my 89mm bore
engine, especially in the 4000-5000 rpm range. I have no problems with crack
between the steel liners and the cast iron block.

Just had an opportunity to look at your pictures. Although the cam bearing
is interesting, what you have done to the rest of the block is fascinating.
I've never seen the liners welded in (I assume that's what you have done).
Did you do that to shift the bore spacing and go larger on the bore?

Thanks for sharing.
