It'll just cut the corners. The question is range and how it fares in the
trees.

I've checked, max speed is too low to follow the race car.

But I feel tempted.

Make sure to review the track or club rules for drones.

Here is a sample of SVRA drone rules at VIR-

REGULATIONS REGARDING "DRONE" USE AT VIR Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) -
In accordance with FAA regulations,VIR does not permit the use of UAS for
any type of commercial photography or videography at any time, on the
facility. UAS may be requested for private use photography or videography
during events. Information or requests for use are made through the VIR
Marketing Department, no later than two weeks prior to the event to Amber
Noya at 434-822-7700 ext 117. Approved operators must obey all policies
pertaining to photographers when inside the track fence. UAS will use
approved Landing Zones and fly between 100 and 400 feet AGL at all times
during flight. Please refer to address below for additional information:

This is really trick, making GoPro a dinosaur. (OK, it costs $500 but it's
still amazing.) The ultimate selfie.

This technology is amazing..........

Lily is a self-flying drone that is always following you, following a
certain set of commands.

It follows a small circular tracker, which you can have in your pocket or on
your boat.

With one tap of the tracker, Lily can execute some nifty camera moves, all
while staying focused on you.

The camera inside is roughly equivalent to the GoPro Hero 3: It can shoot
1080p video, or 720p up to 120 frames per second-there's some tech inside
that will detect when you hit a jump while snowboarding and automatically
kick the camera into slow-mo.

It'll also shoot 12-megapixel stills and it can make a cool 360-degree
panorama.

It can fly 25 miles per hour, is totally waterproof, lasts up to 20 minutes
on a charge, and has range up to 100 feet.
