[Fot] TR6 Distributor Drive

I am wondering whether anyone has experience with fixing the 'movement' of
the distributor drive gear, on the pin? Obviously the pin in this gear is a
lot smaller in diameter than the Camshaft Gear. So I am hoping someone has
done the hard work already and solved this issue? 

Anyone know if it is a tapered Pin? 

What the taper is etc?

 

Any assistance greatly appreciated.
