[Fot] Tires

Well said.

Of course in our neck of the woods there’s a lot of folks that think everyone should be on TDs, because they are vintage tires and Speedsters are not. I’ve raced a lot on both. I like speedsters. Not just because they are faster, but because they work well for a long time. They fall off a little after the second or third time on the track, but that’s about it. Somewhere around the end of the season they start losing more seconds, and it’s time to go. I never wear them out unless I flat spot them.

Tbs on the other hand, start losing time right away, and never stop. By the third time on track they’ve lost two seconds, and they keep going. No thanks. I don’t do this to be limited by my tires.
