FYI the next closest town to Sebring, for lodging, is Avon Park, NW on 98, about a half-hour+ drive to the track.

I just finished travel arrangements to attend Sebring in March 2017 with Karen. Anyone planning to attend better get going because lodging is already scarce.

My TR4 was a privateer car campaigned by Joe Hines Jr. He ran it at both Daytona and Sebring in 1967 with co-drivers Wilber Pickett, Whit Tharin, C.C Canada and T.J. Kelly. Joe Hines is racing in the clouds. I talked to him back when I bought the car and he provided me with a few period pictures and some background. He ran the car just one year and continued on with other cars. He ran a few time in the Daytona 500. T.J. Kelly was a long time Morgan racer but I haven’t been able to locate him. Wilber Pickett has a long racing resume and he even shared a car with Bob Tullius at some point. C.C Canada was around a bit too. Does anyone know of the whereabouts of any of these drivers?

Plans are being made to be at Amelia Island and Sebring 12 Hour in March 2017.

The plan so far is to have the:

57 Sebring TR3 from the UK

63 Sebring TR4 from the UK

TR250K that ran in the late 60s

Bob Kramer's Sebring TR4

Russ Pierce plans to bring the Macau.

HSR is the sanctioning body and will have the schedule and entry information.

Lodging is an issue and should be pursued early on.

(I plan to stay at the track)

There are no designated project people leading the charge on this. Hopefully, the FOT attending will share information and provide support to each other.

It is quite possible that the original drivers will attend along with Kas and Peg. I am hoping that the current car owners will extend those invitations to Bob Tullius, Ed Diehl, and Bob Johns.

I AM looking for a means to get Kas & Peg there and to secure lodging. Any ideas are welcome.

Potentially, this could be one of the most significant Triumph Vintage Reunions of current times. Tim Suddard called. I know he is interested in covering it. Burt Levy is also interested.

And then there is the Kastner Cup in June. The U.K. Triumphs will be shipped there to Black Hawk Farms to run the Kastner Cup. How cool is that?

Anyway, I hope the Amelia and Sebring events gain great traction. I suspect that it will. There is no doubt that the 15th Running of the Kastner Cup will be huge. (Hosted by Brian Garcia and Jason Ostrowski.)
