If we are talking about SCCA, no.   If the GCR doesn’t say you can, then you cannot.

For vintage?   Who knows anymore?

Reading the 72 GCR for Production cars and specifically for the TR6, section 2.2, D. 20 - "use of any oil pan (sump) and/or any oil pump pickup"

Opinions wanted: would a dry sump system be legal?
