[Fot] Adding type A OD

That’s right where I have my toggle switch, in an “up is on, down is off” orientation.

Are you sure that bracket is sturdy enough, Russ? ;-) I know – the width keeps it stable on the shifter…

This is an Eaton switch, used to be used on Ford 2 spd rears. Home made bracket. Takes all the guess work out of the equation. It’s a SPDT switch so it can engage in either the up or down position.

This is pictured in Jeff Goverts car.

Also agree with mount on the shifter.

Concur. I like the switch mounted on the shifter. Early on, my GT6 had the stock column-mounted stalk switch. That was awful, as it was too easy to hit it accidentally while steering. V. disruptive while cornering!

For all of my 24 years of SCCA racing, I had the O/D switch mounted on my shift lever. Very convenient, and allowed for faster shifting.

Looking for what Bosch relay I could substitute for the standard Lucas part number. Originally is not an issue as this is under the dash in my race car.

Also looking for advice on OD switch location for the race car. What do you guys like to use? I was thinking a button on the steering wheel or on the shifter must be convenient.

Appreciate the ideas.

Greg
