Amici...
Well this morning I made a run to my local liquor store.  While I did get a big bottle of JAMESON, what I really went for was a couple of cases of wine to restock my wine shelves.  Getting the JAMESON was important because I gave it up for Lent.  That's why we're running low on wine.  Anyway, Sunday is Easter.  During Lent I discovered that Shirley has acquired a taste for JAMESON.  This has been impacting supply and demand aspects.  Anyway...I go a bottle, and now we're ready for Easter.
Remember those old AVON green glass after shave bottles shaped like a Triumph TR3?  Well, during the checkout process, up on a shelf behind the counter, I was tickled to see a ceramic red Triumph TR3 wine bottle holder.  Produced by Foster & Rye, it's ceramic coated polyresin, and called a Retro Car Bottle Holder.  It is more of a 'cartoon character TR3' than a realistic, accurate model.  But it is well made, substantial and well able to display your favorite bottle of wine triumphantly.  I googled them and they seem to be available from a half dozen sources, at prices from $20 to $30 each.  I paid $22.
Unless I've broken an FOT rule, and it gets 'stripped', there's a photo of it attached.

PS  Incidentally, to my knowledge this year my wife, Shirley, did not give up anything for Lent.  Last year she gave up sex, but I didn't find out until Easter.  _______________________________________________
