[Fot] Racing with dead dampers

I raced almost two full weekends with a broken front shock. The shaft
snapped off at the top of the shock tower so the gas pressure kept the
shaft fully extended inside the dust cover. I was had handling issues the
entire time, none of the usual trackside tweaks, like tire pressure, shock
compression (Spax, adjusted while on the car with a screw on the bottom),
check for loose bolts or alignment seemed to help. I found it when I jacked
up the car to put on rain tires and the shock was leaning inside the spring.

These cars keep finding new ways to break.
