FOT

COTA, ahh COTA.. I have a lot of laps at COTA, but most of them have been
in the "Beandito" endurance racer TR6, and even more on a bicycle. The
venue is great, but not very vintage in aesthetics. If the FOT would want
to make a go of it in Texas once again we would be happy to host. I am sure
we could put on a good show even though we have had some attrition in the
ranks of our Texas based FOT. COTA is a choice for sure but both Hallett
and especially Eagles Canyon have had significant upgrades. ECR has been
almost completed rebuilt from our bouncy K-Cup days.

The demise of Texas World Speedway and losing the 3 race weekends that were
held there annually has hurt as the nearest race for the Austin based guys
is 5 hours away (other than COTA). We have also had a number of racing
retiree's that sold off cars and others that moved on to other series
and/or cars. We will not be able to count on double digits
participation from locals if you all want to come to Texas. Having help run
2 K-Cups with low participation numbers I would rather see the event held
closer to places that more cars can get to in a reasonable tow.
