I'm being made more and more anxious by these messages. Previously, I
contacted Rick Parent, because I read the SVRA Regulations (!) and saw
several differences between those and the Regs I race under in the UK.
Rick said - "You're stressing too much! Get on over here, it'll be fine!"
Thank you, Rick! So welcoming! But he did say that the SVRA would insist
on safety bagtank, which although a big cost isn't one I can argue with and
I will get one.

But now, more and more forms and regulations creep out of the woodwork!
"Tech Forms" - I look at the SVRA website and find that there are forms to
fill in on the vehicle AND on the engine! And even a "Crew Card
Application"! What? Here in the UK, you can have who the H*ll you like to
help you! Every race, you are issued with a couple of paper bracelets, to
let your crew onto the pit wall. I have two friends now living in North
America, who have said they want to come and crew for me - do I get them to
fill in these forms and pay the fee??

FoT, I know it's my responsibility to do all that is required to make me "OK
to Race" and to comply with all the regulations. I want to, I am determined
to do so. But I am a stranger in a strange land. Please may I have a bit
more guidance? Rick's reassurance is most helpful and welcoming, but may I
have a list of the regulations I must obey and the papers that I will need,
SVRA or whatever?

Thank you!
John

PS Dual Brakes - the SVRA regs say, "Dual braking systems are required. A
working hand brake is acceptable in lieu of dual master cylinders" I read
that, noted the second sentence, and as I have a working hand brake assumed
that was OK.
