 It might have Bill Dentinger and Bob Wismer. They were the instigators of all things good with Triumph. I didn’t come on board racing until the 1992 Events.

The concept of the 92 races was first brought to me by Joe Alexander and Bill Dettinger at the 1990 Mid Ohio Races. they indicated that Barbara Truman was interested in featuring a Triumph feature. and asked me to get involved. I spoke to Barbara that day and outlined a course to do it in two years giving time to put together something around the 40 year anniversary of the TR series.  I spent 91 going to various races enlisting interest with varied drivers and promoting the event with Triumph clubs around the country.  And Tom HOUSEHOLDER, you are going to be a VIP at this Kastner Cup. You started all of this, as far as I can tell. We were there at your event in 1992 and 2002 was the fore runner to the Kastner.

I have been here all along . just a bit slower these days. I just want to say that any of you who have not experienced a Triumph race at Mid Ohio you need to give it serious consideration this year. A lot of coverage of the 92 and 02 races is still found on line. The Triumph features are unsurpassed in participation and memories of these events are the foremost in my memories.
