[Fot] COVID motorsport impact

just saying Hi from the other side of the world (australia).

like you guys, we have been affected by COVID 19, but not nearly as bad it
seems , as our Federal and State Governments moved very quickly to
effectively lock-down the country and close state borders. restrictions are
just starting to ease after about 100 days in force. we have had nothing
like the outbreaks we hear about in NY .

anyhow, motorsport here is still effectively banned due to a combination of
social distancing and maximum crowd numbers. I was a bit amazed to see
Kastner Cup is still scheduled

our large local track is planning to re-open for very limited use next
week; basically private practise and such like, with strict rules re social
distancing.

another nearbye track operator has told us that he cannot get
insurance coverage for any sort of  event until the Government removes all
forms of restrictions on gatherings, so thats what is stopping him opening,
and possibly many other similar tracks.
