Nice catch Scott, looks like 2.5 - 3" section. I'm guessing it's fiberglass. Good looking car.
The FB post says the trailer was recovered but the car is gone. I have often wondered about stolen race cars and why they were stolen.
More often that not it seems they are after the trailers and or tools, not so much the car.
In this case they kept the car. What do you do? strip it for parts, certainly not show up at a track and race it with another paint job.
I don't have anything on my trailer to suggest there is a race car inside. A drag racer friend of mine paints his car number on the roof of the trailer.
A thief wouldn't know it and law enforcement can identify it from the air. Very helpful if you have a GPS tracker.
