And who could forget the poster on display in their paddock; “Just say no to crack!” showing a southern hemisphere of Bob Wismer. The handlebars in Old Blue; Wine and cheese parties; lots of good sportsmanship and great racing will be remembered for a long time. Always served up with copious amounts of humor.

I remember standing watching the races at one of the commemoratives and Bill 180'd in the top of the Esses definitely an undergarment change moment .. for me and him.

One last story. This from Chris McNicol, one of the stewards of Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs, which often provides race staff services for VSCDA, two of Bill’s “home” clubs:

“Terrible news. Bill was one of many characters that roamed the paddocks over the years. I will never forget stewarding at the VSCDA event a million years ago and I was out in the pavilion with Mr. Microphone probably waiting to make first call after lunch. Bill was on that Driver's committee (or whatever it was called) at the time, so when he asked for the mic, didn't think twice about it. I hand it to him and he proceeds to announce to everyone how they were giving out free breast exams in his paddock... He will be missed.”

I am heartbroken. Bill is one of my longest and best racing friends.
There are endless numbers of stories of which Bill is the center. He is one of the funniest people I have ever known. It will mean even more when his TR3, ole blue, shows up at a race.
