Also, I did come to understand why they were called “Constant Depression” carbs.  Because they constantly made me depressed with how badly they misbehaved.  Mostly, I’m sure, because I didn’t understand them.  But they would stumble and stutter their way through any left-hander.  Awful.  Eventually, I took them off and beat them into a fine powder and replaced them with Webers.

Hi Dennis,
         I don't think the GT6 ever received larger carbs.  On the 1973 models I've worked with (swing spring, self adjusting brakes, servo, etc)  , they all still have the 1.5" Zenith Strombergs.

I’ve got a question for the GT6 folks in the group. Was the larger 1 3/4” carburetor fitted to the GT6 towards the end of its run?
