[Fot] TR intake gaskets

One note of caution on the Remflex gaskets.  The pre-made ones have
holes for the intakes that are - to me - too large for the narrow
sealing surface of my weber cannon manifold.  I buy uncut material from
them and then cut to size using a sharp knife.  That way the intake
holes are exactly the same ID as the holes in the head and I get max
sealing surface.  I think they are fine for stock intake manifolds.

I asked them about making ones with smaller holes and they were willing
to do that if I paid the tooling costs (which weren't horrible).  I
declined and just make my own gaskets.

I am a big fan of their gaskets.  They are not reusable generally if you
care about that (I don't).

If you look at the picture shared of the blown out gasket you can see
that the lower flange of the intake manifold had very little overlap
with the gasket.

Cheers, Tony Drews
