They are 13x5.5?, 3.75? dia mounting stud circle, backspace - 4? to edge of rim, 3.5? to inside tire bead surface. They are beautifully refinished wheels that came with a GT6 project car I picked up, and I will not be using them. Never mounted since refinishing. $400 for the set of four. I have good shipping boxes, or can deliver to Lime Rock, WG or Summit Point on the VRG race dates. The other ones I would check out, that I run on my race GT6, are Revolution wheels. They?ll set them up to whatever backspace you want and are pretty reasonable. The race wheels have steel seats for the lug nuts. My recollection is they are under $200 each, including shipping. Tariffs may have changed that! https://revolutionwheels.com/product-category/race/ Scott Janzen ??? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... My forged Panasport Lights (15x7) were 17 lb ea. Forged wheels are a lot stronger, but instead of bending they crack or break. But when I bought them they were heavier by a small amount than the normal Panasports which are not forged. Wheels don't last forever. My mantra is buy new wheels for the race car. The used wheels are for rolling the race car around the garage. I've not heard anything bad about VTO. They would have been long gone if they were 6 inches wide, but note they are 7 inches wide, not exactly vintage legal. If anyone is interested, I can dig them out and take a couple pictures. Obviously, I could have them at Lime Rock quite easily. They currently have aged out 205/60R13 tires mounted, I could remove them if needed for easier transport. Mike Harmuth and I will be conducting a ?roving tech? for this event on Thursday. We should all be paddocked together, making that fairly easy. Hours when we will do this are hard to predict at this point: I will arrive at the track around 3. Mike will arrive a bit earlier. We need to work around parade registration at 3:30-5:00 and possibly a track talk and/or walk that afternoon as well. In any event our goal is to get everyone teched by Thursday evening. Please don?t leave the paddock Thursday until you have been teched (doing the parade, as I will, is ok and in fact I can likely tech your car - and gear if you bring it - while in line or at the ?show!?). We want everyone to be able to focus on practice and qualifying on Friday! In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Jason, I own what Kas described as the prototype one piece axle for Spitfires. They were designed by my car?s original owner/builder/driver, Doug Brown, who worked with Kas. They were installed on his, and now mine 1969 Mk3. I still have the original sketches for the design. Kas said he wanted the hardest steel he could find. He called it Vasco Jet. He has it die forged and then machined. They added a much larger Spicer yoke and U-Joint inboard. Kas still had the U-Joint part number in a notebook. I?ve always wondered how many sets of these axles were made. I have not found another confirmed set. Perhaps yours are? I have the parts to build a spare set, but never had the machine work and welding done to the uprights. Photos of the stub axle, and a modified and stock upright are attached. My race car has the 240z hubs and bearings - but similar to others, parts are getting hard to find. I converted Kallie's race Spitfire to the GT6 style rear suspension this year. We're using front wheel drive style cartridge wheel bearings and hubs. Similar to what some of the UK guys have done using modern MGF bearings and hubs, but with parts that are easy to find new in the USA. So far, it's proven to work well. I hope to convert my GT6 racer to this setup after this race season is over.
