[Fot] Triumph TR8 IMSA GTO at Lausitzring

Hi Guys,

 

last weekend was a race event at Lausitzring in East Germany.

The track layout does copy the American ovals with an infield.

The oval is not in use for racing after some serious crashes of race cars.

 

I faced with the TR8 some problems on the half shafts.

The rear axle is a Mustang design and it seems the roller bearings with securing ring don’t stay in place on the halfshaft but slipping out until the caliper does stop this movement.

Unfortunatley the halfshaft gets disconnected to the LSD.

That made the engine rev up violently up…to who knows…..8k? Or more?

 

I finished only race 2 but during the race the oil pressure dropped …maybe because of this over revving incident earlier.

 

Made class win with staring from behind and 5th overall.
