I believe Speedsters are the same compound as the , banned by most groups,
R7 pseudo slicks. I like the Hoosier TDRs. They last longer and are very
predictable. I have a set of the Proxies but, just me, I didn't know when
they were going to lose grip. I need some skid pad time with them, and a
camber change according to Hoosier to feel comfortable. I do use them for
rain tires and off track parade laps.
A good friend of mine loves his Proxies on his MGB, but I consistently out
handle him in the corners.
