[Fot] Engine shipping

 Tom, while there have been a number of shipping companies suggested, packaging the engine was not mentioned.  At a minimum it will need to be securely strapped to a pallet, but that does not offer much protection.  The engine should really be enclosed in a crate.  I ship my Miata engines in a specific engine shipping container.  I made a steel frame in the container to secure the engine.  The small block Chevy engine container (Scribner Plastics 5108CHEV Engine Case on Amazon for $267) works well.  With the cost of lumber and the time to make a crate, it might be easier to buy and use the container.  It's been costing me around $500 to ship from MA to KS via FedEx Freight.JoeB
