This particular block has been decked as well (requiring special cylinder "O-ring' gaskets from Mordy again), and my machine shop says to watch out for "hidden" damage to the block, as it takes quite a bit of force to break a crankshaft, which is what happened. And then there is the problem of alignment with the transmission input shaft. ? I'm going to start afresh with another block and more robust cylinders. Again, this is a great group. ?Your collective wisdom is much appreciated! Recently my race trailer was totaled by a Semi. The 1963 Spit has damage, and I am in need of a front valance to help put her back together. Does anyone have one they would part with?? Please advise and thank you all. Almost forgot I also need both the left and right hand side welded on fitting on the cowl sides where the threaded adjustable rubber tips from the bonnet fit into the dished receiver to center the bonnet when you close it. These would need to be cut off a junker with a saw or torch. Moss calls them Bonnet Peg Locating Plate and Side Plate, Hood Guide, RH or LH. In this pic it is part 63 and 58. 63 uses Phillips screws to attach to 58 which is welded to the cowl sides. [Inner Body Panels] Mark L. TR Race at Mosport was very entertaining. It is organized with all the MGs gridded first followed by all the TRs. Each Car is worth 1 Point. So the MGs start with all the Points and the TRs have to win those points back by catching and passing the MGs. I started gridded #20 and passed two TRs on Lap 1 and another TR on Lap 3 (two of them repassed me on Laps 3 and 4) and 3 MGs on Lap 1. I caught this Blue MGA on Lap 3 and for the next 10 Laps we ran nose to tail. Sadly I just did not have the power or gearing to stay in front of him once we got to the back straight.
