[Healeys] BN4 Brake question - booster?

I recently was called to look at a fellow club members new purchase.
He bought a BN4 with drum brakes all around.  He said it was
'grabbing' when he would stop.  I looked over the car and followed a
vacuum line over to the passengers foot well to find a booster....on a
drum brake BN4???  I'm sure it was added, as it's a newer restoration.
 Anybody every heard of using a booster and 4 drums??
