My 1954 BN1 is running hot.Placed new thermostat,flushed the radiator with Xerex,adjusted the timing(not overretarded).I did not replace the water pump but it is not leaking.The fan belt is not too loose.Anyone have any comments?It runs well at first but once it heats up it threatens to kill when one accelerates,backfires after reving it up.
