[Healeys] BJ8 Glovebox Question

Other than the round external knob and the round inner threaded part, are there other pieces that need to go with mounting the lock mechanism?

Unless I leave the external knob loose, the lock won't push in, and this is with the rear mounting plate flush with the back of the glovebox door.  Must be a spacer on the outer knob that I don't have.

Anyone know?
