Listers,

I need some collective wisdom here.

I am having some difficulty with stiff steering wheel movement, particularly
at low speed.  The steering feels as though it is getting heavier.  I
checked the box and it does not appear that the fluid is low.

What type of oil should I use in the box?  What was the original size of the
steering wheels on our cars?  I have a 15" wheel but I have seen 15", 16"
and 16 1/2" diameter wheels.  Which is correct?  Obviously the larger size
would lessen steering effort.

Also, I have what I think is excessive steering wheel (2") movement before
the wheels actually move.  How do I adjust this?
