I've used LPS 3 and removed it with mineral spirits when ready to put things
back to gether.

Any waxy coating will do like waxoil. However remove the pads and shoes
eforehand and clean the surface very well with white spirits or similar
o remove all waxy traces before fitting the pads and shoes again.
