[Healeys] Help with BT7 (new thread - I got bounced again!!!!!)

My  BT7 tri carb HBT7-L/14971 was built 18-23 Aug. 1961. It has OD. There is
no "O" in the vin.
I also had a parts car that had OD  H-BT7-L/5197 built 5-6/Nov/59. No "O" in
the vin.

I suggest getting a Heritage certificate for your car which will show the
full and correct VIN and engine number (hopefully! sometimes they make
mistakes). You could also ask them if they would write you a letter
confirming that all 3000s of your type had a VIN beginning with HBT7L. I
assume your car doesn't have overdrive, because if it does the number should
be HBT7L-O- 15561.
