If you order from outside the UK, you don't have to pay VAT.  VAT is sales tax.  For you it will be zero.

Same with GST if ordering from Australia, or California sales tax if you order from outside of California.  Always zero.

I am about to order from Cape International and I have a few questions.

What is the "value added tax", how much is it and can anyone explain it to
me.  Do shipments normally get hung up in customs for a period on time?

Anything else unusual I should know about or, other than above, is it
