That might be right for some early 100s but not many.
I know the boot lid seal of at least one of the 20 Warwick built 100s
was/is glued to the lid. The car was never fully restored.
I have an mid-early 100 with an aluminium boot lid and a steel bonnet,
built May 1954.
The seal was and is glued to the lid.

I realize that we are talking about a later car here but just to clarify
things I should mention that boot (trunk) lid seals were not always glued
to the lid.
The early 100s with aluminum (aluminium) lids had the seal fitted to the
shroud.
Details here...
Just sayin'.
Details here.

This is most likely an ignorant question, so I will apologize in advance.
I am glueing the oval rubber liner for the trunk seal. I am glueing it to
the lip of the shroud. Today I saw 10 Healeys for sale with the rubber seal
glued to the trunk lid.
Which way is correct?
